With Flash, the all-in-one money app Maya visited Baguio, Davao, and Tagbilaran, onboarding more than 1,500 merchants during the launch of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Paleng-QR Ph program. #FlashAtWork
In 2022, Flash deployed a number of agents in Baguio, Davao, and Tagbilaran to reach out to merchants for Maya, PLDT Group’s all-in-one money app, during the launch of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) Paleng-QR Ph program.
Thanks to Flash's efforts, over 1,500 micro enterprises in all three areas were provided with the tools they need to enhance their operations with Maya’s digital payment solutions. To create a consistent and impactful presence, Flash produced and distributed storefront signages and complementary marketing materials.
According to Flash Managing Director Carla Ludovico, the key to successfully engaging with communities was a combination of the spirit of collaboration and comprehensive market research efforts.
BSP’s Paleng-QR Ph initiative will create “a simple but more powerful digital finance experience at the local community level,” Maya CEO and Maya Bank co-founder Orlando Vea said.
“Digital payment is the entry point of Filipinos to the financial system. As they build their financial footprint, consumers and [micro, small, and medium enterprises] can access more progressive digital banking services offered by Maya,” Vea said.
Maya’s support of the program is in line with the BSP’s objective to increase financial inclusion among Filipinos, from 56% in 2021 to 70% in 2023.
